El Dorado Park Lakes, Long Beach, California
This White Pelican is one of the ones that attempted to take the trout away from the Cormorant in my previous two photos. Doesn't it look placid and like a perfect gentleman now?

Nikon D-4 Nikkor 600mm 1.4TC 850mm 1/2000 f/8 white balance auto ISO400 Tripod, Wimberley Gimbal Processed in Lightroom, CS6 and NIK

Who me? Would I do something like that? It must have been another bird. Nice image, Patrick. I like the lighting a lot.

Hi Patrick,

The light brings out the fine details of the feathers. The black background and the pelican's reflection in the water make for a calming scene. It would be nice to see the reflection of the top of the bird's head, too.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving. :wavey:

Beautiful and dramatic work. About a degree and a half of clockwise turn levels her off and makes a perfect picture.
