Sky over St. Mark's

A beautiful late afternoon over St. Mark's Wildlife Refuge. I shot this years ago and am just getting around to processing it. Don't know why I didn't process it before now - just forgot about it I guess. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out though.

I love the clarity and the clean comp.
I can imagine a color version would also be nice.

Hi Bill,
Superb monochrome landscape photo, excellent light & clarity, nice arrangement, very good viewpoint. The beautiful sky adds nice toning to the scene. Well done. :toast:

Outstanding B&W, Bill. I especially like how you've place the horizon in this scene. It seems to work so well in emphasizing both the land mass with trees and the wonderful cloud formations too. Well seen and captured. Love the larger version on this one.....

Beautiful sky-scape, Bill. The tones are wonderful, especially in the foreground grasses. I agree with Paul that the horizon line is perfectly placed.

Good job!

This has a classic straight forward appeal, Bill. The sky is the star of the show and the processing here looks spot on.

This really shows off the sumptuous textures that b&w emphasizes. Yum, love those clouds and sky especially.

A beautiful b&w rendition. I won't mention that "other" bearded photographer from down in Big Cypress, but this is what b&w is all about.
