Bull Moose

This past summer I photographed this bull moose feeding in a lake in Glacier National Park. He was an impressive guy, and he moved closer and closer to my position as I photographed him. He was constantly eying me as he moved closer. This was one of the final shots before I moved to a safe distance from the lake shore.

Comments, critique and suggestions always welcome.

Happy Shooting
Jack

Tech stuff: Canon5D III, Canon EF500mm/f4L IS, f/6.3, 1/1250 sec, ISO-500, tripod. Full frame. Processed with Lightroom.

Hello Jack

Yes, an impressive Guy for sure!:) Well Captured with Good detail. The Water dripping Really Adds to the Total Picture. Seems like a Mid day Image with High Contrast ? If mine I would attempt to reduce the High Contrast some.

A Very Special Capture, and could Really be Amazing with some adjustments... Thanks for sharing.

Solid image Jack. Nice bull well photographed. I like that you concentrated the framing on the impressive antlers and the water flowing from them. The contrast is a bit high but it is consistent with a beautiful summer day out in the sun.

Jack,
A really nice portrait, the "harsh" light has not helped you here in particular with the horn shadows but that does not distract for me :toast: :toast:

Falling droplets make this special.

He looks so soft and cuddly doesn't he. . . . nicely done with the wet nose and the waterfall. Amazingly well done with the bright lighting.

Nicely done Jack, especially with the harsh light as others have mentioned. The water dripping off a big bull moose up to his neck in water is definitely a classic moose image.
