I think this was one of my first photos using a tripod!
Medina Lake, Texas
Fuji Superia 100
Canon Elan II
Tamron 28-200
Cokin 2-Stop ND Grad
Exposure unrecorded
Man I wish I had this on better film.

Adam, I really like this. The color, the comp, the clouds, it all works well IMO. My only suggestion is to print this and find a place on a wall for it!

It doesn't get much better than this! I like the simplicity of the picture, the few clouds in the sky, and the purple hue to the water. The scrub bushes in the foreground add a lot to this image, leading the eye back to the sunset.

John,
I would like to have had this on Velvia, there is a lot of grain with the negative.

Editor's Pick
Along with the beautiful colorn and comp, this image depicts the boundaries between water and land, land and sky, day and night. Nice job!

I really like this shot. The lighting is great and it's very well balanced. Just curious... How did you do your boarder effect? It's about as close to looking like a real matted and framed picture as I have seen.

Jim,
I was curious if anyone would pickup on all the different boundaries in this shot.
Tim,
I created the border affect with a series of layers, and layer styles in PS.
Everyone,
Thanks for commenting.

Great choice for Editor's Pick....I knew this one would get it! Congrats, Adam.
Love the border effect you achieved. It's as if framed and ready to hang on the wall.
