Along with its close and very similar looking relatives the Victoria Crowned Pigeon and the Southern Crowned Pigeon, the "Blue Crowned Pigeon" is one of the most beautiful members of the pigeon family.
This was made at the San Antonio Zoo.

Nicely done Howard. I do wish the second pigeons face was a bit more exposed, but you sometimes take what you get even in a zoo. Always thought these were a regal bird. Thanks for sharing.

Great title for this special moment you captured. Well seen and presented with excellent detail and color.

I hope you are surviving the current weather I am seeing in the news in Texas, that Florida trip with me is probably sounding pretty good about now. It was 82 degrees today in the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge.
