Resident lizard

Gallery: Macro & Close-upPosted December 6, 201333 views2 comments
This red-headed brown anole lizard is a resident at my house living on the housing of one of my garage lights. He is constantly there and makes a willing subject for my photography. I can actually see my image reflected in his eye as I was photographing him.

Shot with a Canon 70D handheld with a Canon 100 f.2.8L macro lens.

Hi Sandy. Welcome to NPN and the macro & close up gallery. Fine portrait of your live in model. Nice detail about the eye and good separation from the bg. Thanks for sharing. :wavey:

Thanks so much Scott. I am a total newbie (5 months with a DSLR) and real newbie to macro work, but I am fascinated by it and hope to learn! Here is one I get a kick out of - it is the same lizard but the shot is cropped to the point that you can clearly see me photographing him reflected in his eye!
