Bosque blast off

Patrick, Sharon and I all attended Keith's workshop last week, so I hope everyone won't get tired of seeing Bosque posts for a few weeks. This was the morning takeoff at the crane pools on Wednesday.

Great wing position here, and vibrant colours.
At first look, seems to need some CCW rotation to straighten the shoreline - but the water IS straight, so no more you can do. Just an odd BG.

Perfect dof, John. The crane is tack sharp and the bg grasses are blurred just right for my taste. Nice job.

The glow on the lighter part of the right wing stands out nicely. Great capture all around.

Nice one, John. My AF is a bear to lock onto the birds with BG's like this. I was there that morning and didn't have much luck. Nice to see that others did.
