Bert & Ernie

Date: September 25, 2012
Equipment: Nikon D300, 50/1.8 AF Nikkor
Exposure: ISO 1600, aperture preferred matrix meter, 1/160th @ f/2
Raw, PS CS3 on Mac, 96% of frame

Bert & Ernie are the latest in a long line of cats sharing our house dating back to the early ‘70’s. We got them as very young kittens in 1996.

I like to take these shots with existing light, so that means a fast lens like my ancient 50/1.8 and a high ISO.

Honest critiques requested; all comments appreciated.

"We got them as very young kittens in 1996." That makes Bert & Ernie the quintessential odd-couple then
Cute shot of your senior citizens, the large view puts us right in your bedroom for an intimate look Rich.

Great picture of typical cat behavior, Richard. They can be so playful and love to crawl in bags, under covers, etc. These two look they were caught in the middle of some play time. Very attractive cats. . .I'm partial to long-hair cats.
