Last week I had the pleasure of meeting 4 NPN members: Patrick O'Healy, John Neukirch, and Sharon Hallowell at the Bosque Del Apache. These three were all attending the workshop I was leading with 2 of my good friends. I also was able to meet Bill Leggett. Great to meet all of you!

Here's a shot to celebrate the end of a great day of shooting with new friends.

Canon 5D Mark III
500mm f/4L with 1.4x
ISO640
1/2000 @ f/14

Cropped to a pano format

A beautiful silhouette set against that wonderful sunset. I got back to Lincoln on Saturday, had six inches of snow on Sunday and woke up to -10 degrees yesterday morning. Yea I already miss the warmth of Bosque.

Ooh, that's cheating, Keith. How did you arrange for that gorgeous sunset? Lovely image-I like the landing poses.

Very nice, Keith. I like the staggered formation and your choice to keep them in the left side of the pano.

Nice image, Keith. It was a pleasure to meet you, too. One minor nit (although a big print may not show it) maybe something can be done about the thin halo around the birds(?)

A sweet flight formation you captured in front of that incredible sunset. I like the distant hillside, it makes a nice anchor for the image.

Excellent Work Keith

Beautiful sky, love how the cranes appear suspended.

Very dramatic shot. Gorgeous sunset and nice flight postures and the silhouetted mountains top it off.

I love when they "put down the landing gear"! Very nicely composed, nice sunset, and great poses. Sharon

Perfect for a pano comp Keith, very nice sunset silhouettes.. And everything's better in threes.
I especially like the sunset color, and those gentle rising hills left to right :toast:
