This Bosque goose doing a fly by last Wednesday. I believe it's a snow goose but if not would appreciate a correct ID. Also is it a juvenile? All I know is that theses birds are fast, a lot easier to photograph when they fly by going against the wind.

D300s
Nikkor 300mm f4, 1.4 TC (420mm)
ISO 400
1/2000 @ f/7.1
Tripod

Thanks for looking.

Hi John: Yes this is a younger Snow Goose. I always like getting the younger ones with a bit of coloration. Nice flight shot with sharp details. Wish is was not quite a far past you as it is, but still a great wing position and portrait. Looking forward to more of your Bosque images.

Nice detail and wing position, John. Very difficult to get a fly-by shot like this.

Nice immature snow goose flyby image. Very crisp with nice wing position and detail. Consider a minor levels adjustment to make this pop from the background? Dave

Nice shot! I like the curved feathers on the wingtip, and the slightly blurred grassy bg. Really nice to have met you! Sharon
