Taken in central Illinois. This is an area known for it's maple trees, which are tapped for sirup.

Looks like a real nice area to photograph John, The downed limbs, vines and carpet of maple leaves has a real appeal for me, something I'm always looking for when I'm hiking the woods, also like the light and color. Nicely done.

I love the colors and the carpet of leaves.....I'm not quiet sure about the foreground and the dark limbs......woods are always very difficult to come up with a decent comp. I also think the sky is too bright.....this sure looks like a nice forest to photograph but the comp doesn't really work for me personnaly here.

I find the comp to be little too busy, but I do like the leaves and the yellow trees. Forests can be tough.

The leaf carpet and the yellow trees in the background are very attractive, but the foreground doesn't really lead my eye well through the image.

Well laid out composition which is hard IMO in places like this.

You did a great job composing this scene John. Everything is in a good position. My only nits are with the bright sky and the tree trunk which is intruding on the left edge.
