At least that is what I think this is. Can anyone confirm?

Near the Blyderivierpoort reservoir, Blyde River, South Africa

Three RAW exposures for DOF, hand blended in PS6, processed in LR5, TK resize/sharpening for web.
Canon T3i, 1/40 s, f/5.6, ISO 200, EFS 10-22 mm @ 14 mm, CPL

Seeking any and all advice and comments. Thanks in advance.

I like the comp and the color of the plants. And, the soft light allows their detail to come through nicely. Fascinating plants, and exotic for me. It might have been better if all of the leaves were included, but it still works for me.

Ronald - It does look like Red Aloe to me as well but then I am no Botanist. Love the use of the red colored foliage as the foreground to draw the viewer into the scene.

Hi Ronald,
Excellent plants close-up photo with very nice colors, perfect light, very good clarity. Superb arrangement in portrait format. The well-chosen tight crop eliminates all unwanted distractions. Cannot help with identification.

Ron: Don't recall you posting in Flora before so welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet. I think this is terrific. Even the thumbnail is compelling. The larger version is most excellent. I really don't mind the tight bottom. The flow from front to back through the frame with all those wonderful BG elements, the texture in the FG rocks and the glimpse of the river all make this a big winner in my book. Great to have you aboard and looking forward to more.>=))>
