Eye contact with a wasp

Admittedly, this shot is far from a good shot technically, but I was only a couple of months into shooting with my DSLR, and I had nothing appropriate for macro shooting. The shot was challenging in that the wasp was in a dark portion of my porch and I did it handheld. That being said, I still enjoy the shot in that how often do you have a chance to make eye contact with a paper wasp? :)

Shot with a T3i and kit 18-55 lens at 35mm, f4.5, 1/60, ISO 400

I hope I have an opportunity at one of these again now that I have a Canon 100 f2.8L macro lens!

Love the head one, in your face perspective, Sandy. The nice bg puts the viewer's focus right on the wasp's eyes. Well composed/taken.

Thanks so much Scott. I love it, but of course I wish I could have gotten tack sharp focus.
