Pétanque Game

I was out doing a bird shoot on the Gulf of Mexico when I happened upon this group engulfed in a game that I had neither seen nor heard of. The players were reveling in the fun of the game and speaking French. I inquired as to what game it was and I was told that it was Pétanque, a French game similar to the Italian game of Bocce Ball. The cast of characters looked amusing to me so I fired off a shot and then went back to photographing the birds

EEK - a public health nurse's nightmare...
Interesting image, especially for a people-watcher like me.

Thanks Sandy! My significant other and I are health nuts and athletes. Between us, just this year, we have won 10 state cycling championships and just this past Tuesday, I set a FL state cycling time trial record for the 3rd year in a row. I say all of this in that is one of the things that struck me about this group. Physically "active" but everyone of them looked like couch potatoes!

Thanks Sandy. I meant to and may have mentioned to you that I grew up in Stockton and attended UCAL Berkeley so I am from your area of the world. Came East when I was hired as a pilot for Eastern Airlines in 1966, Sandy, I visited your website. Your work just blows me away. Do you think I have any chance of being like you when I grow up??
