Sea Oats and Pink Sky

There was absolutely zero breeze at the beach tonight for sunset - a very rare occasion. Therefore, I took advantage and shot a couple of intimate sea oat shots where I could actually capture some detail.

PLEASE LOOK AT THE LARGE VERSION - much better detail.

Your thoughts and comments are always welcomed and greatly appreciated.

EDIT:Wow, I just looked at this on my work monitor and noticed LOTS of sharpening artifacts. There were no artifacts on my home monitor. Is anyone else noticing sharpening artifacts?

I'm sitting here with a single malt really enjoying this Bill. The detail in the oats, the soft pastel colors, the framing , just simple and beautiful.

Just beautiful Bill, love the soft colors and detail in the sea oats, definitely has a tranquil feel, that alone makes it very pleasant to view. Beautifully seen and presented.

Real pretty Bill. I wish I was joining Gary for that single malt, but seeing as it is 6:30am, it is a bit early for me.

This is lovely, with the gentle colors in the sky and the crystal clear sea oats. I'm viewing on a calibrated 27" iMac and don't see anything that I'd call a sharpening artifact.

I'm enjoying this very much Bill. Nice soft color and a wonderful mood. I have a similar type shot to post but it is a little more wintry than this one... I want to enjoy it with a single malt too.

Lovely detail and color, Bill. This is quite peaceful. I agree with Harley about joining Gary for a single malt and looking at this image.

Works nicely for me, Bill.

Thanks all for the comments - much appreciated.

Nick - yeah, this is not very wintry I'm afraid. It may have been December 18, but I was wearing shorts and was barefooted - I did have a long sleeve shirt on though!

Lovely pastels in the sky, and the oats add a really nice foreground anchor.

Really nice color and composition. The fine detail and pleasing lines are very nice as well. I'm not noticing any artifacts.

A fascinating minimalistic composition, the colors really bring it to life for me.
