With Mr. Rose in mind, a traditional "Big Rock in Foreground". I couldn't stop myself.

Off the Denali Hwy, Alaska

Three Raw exposures for DOF, hand blended in PS6, processed in LR5, TK resize/sharpening for web.
Canon T2i, 1/640 s, f/8, ISO 400, EFS 10-22 mm @ 10 mm, CPL

Please view the large image!

Seeking any and all advice and comments. Thanks in advance.

Great sky. the big rock is a little too centered and prominent for my tastes but I love the scene in the bg.

In this case I would have to agree with Mr Rose, the rock is not interesting enough to dominate so much real estate when you have all that beautiful landscape in the mid and background. Both versions seem significantly over-sharpened. I like the top 1/2 on its own.

The foreground rock is maybe a bit too prominent and too dominant...and maybe not so interesting to give him so much space in the foreground - but somehow I also like your comp. You have a lot of details in the foreground rock which I love...overall it's a beautiful scene and I like your image. Good you had some nice clouds in the sky. All in all I think the image works for me

A very nice scene. I agree with the other comments about the foreground rock.

I know, sometimes you just can't resist. Sometimes you gotta let the ultra-wide show it's stuff. And, as the others indicated, in this scene it's the top half that's more interesting. Clouds and mountains look great here.
