Beech Trees in Snow

We had a rare major snow the day before Thanksgiving. I went to the local public gardens where I take most of my floral images and shot this image of these beech trees. The leaves look like ornaments, so I thought I'd post it this week. Happy Holidays! Beech trees, Fellows Riverside Gardens, Youngstown, Oh. D600, 14-24 nikkor @22, f16, 1/15, iso 400, tripod. Suggestions, questions, and other comments on the image welcome. :wavey:

Beautiful, Scott. Wonderful composition and detail. I hope you have some abstract close-ups with just the leaves and branches. They look perfect for it.

Thanks and Happy Holidays to you too!

Very serene and peaceful - perfect perspective of the grove, and the bits of colour are perfect. The bench adds a lot too - great find!
Seems a little off-horizontal - maybe straightening the far horizon would help.

Scott - Love how the curved branches frame the benches (not that I want to sit on those in this cold winter) so nicely. Nice Snowscape and the few yellow leaves help provide the touch of color in a vast expanse of white.

Very nice winter scene. I like the curve of the branches, They make a tunnel that draws me into the image.

I sure do like the scattering of orange leaves still on the trees and the arch tunnel of the branches leading into the distance. Well seen. Happy Holidays.

Scott you have inverted the nature: a colored snow fall in a white, colorless land. Beautiful image, very delicate, almost graphic. Bravo.
Infinite wishes for an happy Christmas and a 2014 full of successes.

Excellent Scott, love the way you've composed this.
Especially nice is the scattering of leaves throughout, and the branches 'symmetrical' flow is divine
Merry Christmas! :wavey: :toast:

Love the smattering of color throughout from the leaves against all that snow. Beauty!
