Silence of Winter

This is a picture I took about two weeks ago when winter was present here. Right now it doesn't feel like winter. It has been raining all day long and temps are too high for december. Anyway, I hope for some snow in the Heights of Jura......

Bill, I'm really enjoying this! The larger version is just wonderful to look at and I love the mood. The detail in this is excellent as well. We have lots of snow here now and especially for this early in the winter. We are also having very cold weather with low temps in the -20 degrees F. range and highs just in single digits above 0 for this next week.

Wonderful mood Bill. I really like the high key look created by the fog and the contrast created by grass tufts.

I like the soft pastel background against the sharper foreground grasses.

Lovely! Such a delicate feeling to this with the subtle coloring and high key bf. Very nicely done.

I like the wonderful wintry feel here, even without snow. The fog, leafless trees, and dried grass add to the atmosphere. There's lots to look at here.

That's beautiful Bill! The mood is well captured. I love it when the Danube Floodlands east of Vienna get this winter-look as well. It just has not happened yet.

Very well put together. And, it makes me want to get out there and experience a day like this!

The frost on the plants in the distance shows up much better in the larger version; nice. More in the foreground would be icing on the cake (pun intended).

I don't really know why,... but this is my kind of image. Everything is dormant, done, but beautiful in the fog, as it waits for next season. :toast:
