Sand and Snow #2

Another image from along Lake Michigan in Chicago from a couple days ago. What I like about this image compared to the first one is the snow drift (without sand) providing contrast to the rest of the image which is snow and sand mixed. I've not seen images quite like these before, so I enjoy getting quality feedback from this group.

Good eye Jon, really liked your first one, and this one is even better, definitely like the snow drift coming in on the left, along with all the different patterns in the sand. Very different, and very appealing.

Pretty cool shot, like the contrast in brightness and shape. No nits

I like this one better. Especially the sharp counterpoint of the snow edge going against the flow of the sand ripples. Nicely done.

This is well seen, Jon. I really like how the sand layers tighten in viewing from left to right and including that shaft of snow adds extra interest.

Well seen Jon. I like this one better than the first, you really have to view this large to appreciate the detail. The lines in the wind blown snow compliment the lines in the sand nicely. I also like the stark white snow against the sand. My only suggestion might be a slight crop off the left to get rid the 'particles' right above the snow along the edge.

Beautiful image, Jon. I agree that the inclusion of the snow bank adds greatly to the quality of the photo. Outstanding work! Chet

Nice! That jutting snow from the corner really accentuates.

I feel uncomfortable... And, that's OK. I like the patterns and flow on the right side, but the contrast of the "piercing" ice/snow on the left is what causes my discomfort.

I really like that this image makes me feel... Good work!

Tim!
