Simple Fall

A follow up to my ‘Fall Rush’. Was looking for a simple and more intimate fall color shoot.

Cloned out a big glare spot, forgot to use the CPL to remove it in the field. Is the water still to bright in this case?

Thanks for looking,
Zho

Zhoen, I like this intimate-scape a lot. Lighting and color are very nice and the comp with the three pts of interest and the white water tying them together, excellent. Well done. Chet . :toast:

Really nice colors and light, and a beautiful little cascade. I see no way to eliminate the dark areas along the top edge without losing the nice leaves and moss, but they do pull a touch. And, since you don't mind cloning, I would remove the partial bright leaves intruding in the lrc. Beautiful.

Nice and simple cascade.
The water looks fine to me. A polarizer would have been nice.....

Zho, I don't think the water is too bright at all. I like the strong contrast against the dark rocks. This is a great intimate fall shot.

Thank you all for commenting and providing feedback. I will work on this a little more and see if bring out the detail in the top row will eliminate the distraction and will try to clone out that leave in the right corner.

Great composition. I like the way the water unites the three areas of color.

Zoehn, I love the color and comp. Overall I like the image. However the processing on my monitor seems a bit off. My eye is picking up three points of interest due to post processing luminescent emphasis. All three points are the leaves which sort of frame the image. That makes the entire center (cascade) of the image just details. My eye works in reverse, subject matter centered, and framed by nice hints of interest. Just a thought.
