One of those baboon shots …… A female Chacma Baboon (Papio ursinus) grooming her infant. Their behavior and poses are often so human-like. … Gotta love them

Mario,
Baboons are great subjects as there is nearly always something going on, and the youngsters play is a delight to watch.
Great image :toast: :toast:

Hi Mario,

The thumbnail version of this one doesn't at all do justice to this shot (funny how that happens sometimes). Nice tender moment that's very easy to relate to and pulls on the heart-strings. I especially like the apparent bliss of the infant.

From a photographic perspective I like the diagonal flow of the shot and where the key elements are placed. Am left wishing for a little more DoF so that cheek region, shoulder and arm of mother were a little sharper (and, of those, having the cheek sharp would make the most difference).

Thanks for sharing this one Mario...

Great details n beautiful bond here.
Ideally, I would have preferred some more scene into the frame, I mean less closer.

I really am drawn to the expression on the baby and the liquid color of the mother's eye. If this is not full frame, more on the right and top would make it stronger, to my eye.
