Taken on a beach in Chicago along Lake Michigan. Unlike the first few images from this series, I didn't have my DSLR with me for this shot. Don't know that it matters much for posting on NPN in terms of image quality, although it may be tough to get a nice print from this file.

The patterns and BW all mix well together. True it might not make a large print, but now you have a good reason to return!

Another very well done image from the beach!! Bummer you won't be able to get a nice big print, but it looks great for web posting. Great abstract pattern and tones.

The textures here are great. These are very hard to pull off and you've done well with your comp.

Loving them shapes Jon, I find them quite mesmerising. Great abstract.

Wild abstract here Jon with the iPhone. Can't beat the darn things for quick grab shots. I actually find mine invaluable for planning compositions for future outings when I'm out in the field. Heck, easy enough to grab the shot and email home for future plans......
