Don't Mess With Texas ~ the Lone Star State
On my visit to Austin after Christmas I was shooting on state capitol grounds when a grounds keeper approached me and said "you are missing the best picture" and then went on and on about the pair of Hawks making a perch for past six months on the Star of Texas.
This gives a new meaning to "the eyes of Texas are upon you, all the livelong day".

Cool shot Rick, things are looking up
I was gonna say ya got em' coming & going (the birds), but it looks like one of the hawks is doing a 360.
Well done! :toast:

Hi Rick I'm going to have to move this to POP photos as it doesn't fall into the category of man and nature. I don't think the pale looking sky is doing this scene much favours however as the statue is a similar colour. Might work on brining out some contrast.

That is a cool catch! Some extra contrast might help the details pop a little more.
