Badlands

The Bisti Badlands located in northwest New Mexico is just that. Somewhat lifeless and an expanse of eroded limestone the shapes and shadows offer plenty to see and photograph. This is very harsh light and intended to portray just that. No place for old men.

This does look like a harsh and forbidding area, an area for snakes and lizards and maybe a jack rabbit every 40 acres. I like the formation and textures and would say you have succeeded with your intent. Good job. Chet

Hi Rick, I totally agree with Chet's thoughts on this. It really does come across as a desolate place to me, so I think you showed your intent.

Very desolate looking place Rick and I think you captured it well. Interesting formation also. Nice job.

That's a way cool pillar of rock, Rick. I'm fascinated that you chose to center it.

Rick, this looks like my kinda place, in fact I'm planning a trip there this spring. This certainly depicts a portion of what I hope to find.
