Cliffs of Gold

It's been quite a while since posting on NPN. I thought I would put this recent one up here for feedback. Taken along the jagged south cliff shores of Kauai at sunrise. Posting in M&N because the small strip of green is part of a golf course. Thanks in advance for all comments.

Tech specs: Canon 5D MKII, 16-35L @ 22mm, f/16 and .3 seconds at ISO 100. 15 layers in Photoshop for various pieces of the image from adjusting contrast, colors, luminosity and vibrance as well different exposures for the sky and foreground. Additionally it was a little more work to balance out areas in the water on this requiring some layers as manual adjustments to various areas.

Side Note: I hope the NPN moderators read this and other staff. It would be GREAT if the 300kb size limit could be raised on this site. It's my number one frustration that I need to create a different file from all my other social media posting only for NPN because of this limitation. This is part of the reason I don't post more. It really needs to be changed. Thanks for listening.

Beautiful composition. I love the water action and the sky with its cloud complement the image perfectly in this nice warm morning light

The only criticism I have of this image is how tight it gets on the left side. I would really like to see all of the cliff there so my eye can go from the mid-right all the way around the cove and to the other end. You did a fantastic job on the processing.

Adrian, the scene shows a beautiful and rich variety of colors, textures, and shapes. Like Luke, I would like to see a bit more of the left side (unless it's a golf green or fairway. Well done, Adrian.

Luke and Randy, thanks for the honest feedback. I thought about that but I felt moving to the left more would take away too much of the right side (eg the peninsula tip) and I did not want to go much wider for this comp. I appreciate the candid thoughts though. I might have to go back and see what else I have as I moved around in this scene a little.

I have no complains about the composition. Loving the warm glow bathing the entire scene.

Adrian, This is a great looking scene. The comp works for me and you really caught the light and color. The wave splashes add a nice look and that sky really finished it off.
