I like the dark moody background. I do find the colors on the egret a bit oversaturated. If it were mine, I would pull back on them a little. Great shot.

Just brilliant, Scott, and needle sharp too. Despite the close proximity to thick foliage, you were so lucky to catch those wind blown feathers.

Beautiful image...love those apricot colors, the matching beak, and the dark green foliage. Lovely combo.

Great to see this breeding plumage contrasting with the green BG. , Cheers, Hans

Beautiful, Scott. Gorgeous light and breeding plumage and it really pops against the dark green foliage. Well done.

All been said. Beautiful bird and image. Maybe more room on the left would improve a great picture.

The larger image looks great with some nice detail and I like the orange/white contrast with the darker background, excellent shot Scott.

looks really good, Scott. nice job on a tricky exposure, and I like how the bird contrasts with the dark bg. nice details, nice pose from the bird. I like the comp as is, but would probably also like John's suggestion.

Wonderful pose to show the back feathers, and very nice detail.
Seems quite over-saturated - appears bright orange from here, when the actual colours are more reddish.

Wonderful photo Scott. I've never seen these birds in breeding color before, but I see no problem with the saturation or color, or the room on the left side. I do think that darkening the bright palm fronds at bottom left would help direct attention where it needs to be. Very well done.

I have seen a great number of cattle egrets but none as pretty as this. Great image.

Excellent details on this egret. I agree...a bit more orange than I've ever seen one, but perhaps they are the real colors. The greens don't look over saturated. Sharon

Striking image Scott, I like it!
Only suggestion has already been made, a bit more room left would be better.
Well done & have a great weekend :toast:
