This is an older image that I took on our 2009 Territory trip. Ochre Pits is in the McDonnell Ranges and I was so fascinated by the layers of colors in this rocks.

Vivid, rich colors. Those thin, bright layers are interesting. Some ancient, significant geology happened there.

Marvelous layers of colors, Bill, and how great that they all compliment each other?

Great abstract, Bill. Very complimentary golds and purples. Good take on this.

Really nice angled lines of texture and different colors and tones. Nice find, at least twice. Great job. Chet.

A fluid transition from color to color... I'd be sitting there mesmerized by the scene, unable to press the shutter release! I enjoyed the detail in the large version a lot. (BTW, maybe get rid of the dark corner in the upper left? Just a thought)

I can see why you were fascinated with the colors in this scene, Bill. The diagonal transition of color is magical. Beautifully done.

I really like the rich colors in this Bill and they blend nicely across the scene. Great find.

Great three-dimensional abstract for me, Bill. The transition of colors is wonderful to me.
