snow leopard

I had been waiting for a good snow to go to the zoo to get photos of snow leopards in the snow. Finally got the chance, made arrangements to meet the keeper at the exhibit. After getting a gate frozen in the ground open I was ready. The 2 cats were let into the exhibit, the female quickly climbed to a high ledge in a very un-photogenic area. The male remained on the ground for less than 10 minutes before he joined his mate up high. Did manage to get a few photos.

Too bad the pair didn't cooperate with you and provide better opportunities John. On my monitor, this image looks slightly underexposed, maybe 1/3 or 2/3 stop, so easily tweaked. His look is almost saying "not this time Mr. Photographer", but these cats are so special, I imagine you enjoyed the visit regardless of their lack of cooperation.

Hope you get another chance before winter is over.

Looks a bit unhappy with the cold John.
Like the bits of falling snow covering the leopard.
Sharp where it matters, excellent exposure :toast:
