I saw this beautiful shape in the ice in our sand paddock and had to take a photo. I think it's really "cool".

Excellent shapes and even a texture look to it. I like this a lot.

Very interesting find, Lucy. You see "beautiful", I see a baby T-Rex dinosaur coming out of an egg! . . .(if rotated counter-clockwise 90 degrees.) I like the textures visible (teeth!) and the subtle tonal changes in the ice. Great eye to spot this fun and unique image, Lucy. (The longer I look at it, the more things I see. . . )

That is a neat shape...I see a bat unfolding it's right wing or maybe a pelican head... You've done a good job handling the contrast and bringing out the structure.

Intriguing is an apt expression, not the usual color you'd expect and the texture isn't what you expect either. The middle part is like a Rorschach test, I like the fine detail seen in the larger version. Really well seen and presented Lucy.

This is pretty cool Lucy. I see a fuzzy little ameboid sorta thing. I like the colors in the sand coming thru. Great find.

Yes, both cool and neat too! A very interesting formation here Lucy; at first glance reminded me of a fossil imbedded in sandstone. In fact, isn't that a toothy mouth in the lower left? It's definitely aquatic with that tail turned up on the right, and there's evidence of a dorsal fin too. Aside from the archeological aspects, this is a nice study of textures and I enjoyed viewing.

I see sort of what Carolyn sees...only it is a pterodactyl coming out of the egg. I'm glad so many of you are "intrigued" by my post :jump:

Wonderful textures and an intriguing comp, Lucy. However, I don't see a dinosaur here. All the fringe looks like pin feathers to me, so this has to be some kind of bird.
