We've had more or less a bad winter here in switzerland. Temps are too warm and we haven't had that much snow so far. This image was taken end of december 2013 on one of those few winter-like days. It snowed the night before and in then temps dropped so the snow rest on the firs all day long. The "Emmental" is like the Jura in western switzerland a beautiful and tranquil scenery in switzerland.

We must have stolen your weather here in NY - lots of snow and plenty of cold. This is a beautiful image with a really nice feel being evoked by the warmth of the sun contrasted by the cold of the snow. I love the texture present in the left side of the image and how the fence dips in and out of view. This is an expertly crafted image - though the sunburst looks surprisingly "soft"

Beautiful Bill. The large view is outstanding. Love the light on the foreground snow, the fence line, and the light on the valley below. The sun star is just a bonus. Very well crafted. :wavey:

Beautiful winter sunset. The light is really sweet and is creating some great color. Very nice composition also.
