Cold Gray Morning

Just below zero near the North Platte River. Fairly heavy fog which would not let the sun crate any nice color in the fog. Snow on the ground and frost on the trees. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

A bit moody. I do like the spread of the foreground trees. I'd love to a b/w conversion of this.

Richard, the large view is a must.see. All of the subtle color and light is there. I like this a lot and I wouldn't change a thing except a b/w version to enjoy.( sorta my thing )

You gotta love the character of that FG tree. This is simply gorgeous with lots of details for the viewer to enjoy in the large version, Richard. I too think this would be a great B&W.

Way to go, Richard. What a great tree! Your composition is really nice and you exposed this really well. Love the color palette and the detail in the image. And it does look cold.

I like the crispness, the cold feel and the bleak look to this.
I like the muted color.

We are 13 below again this morning here. Quite the cold spell going on in most of the country it seems. These great old cottonwoods are great subjects and you've given it the frosty feel in this one. Nicely done.

A dynamic image. Good comp/subject seeing you went without bright, vibrant colors. I think the overall monochrome feel fits this scene well.

Beautiful view of a stately tree. The frost is a great bonus, too.
