A White Rhino portrait. Image taken in the peak of the summer season when lush green surrounding vegetation sets the perfect background for shots like these.

Super detail Mario, and I like the lush bg also.

Mario,
Very nice, I do not think I have seen as Rhino with such a "clean" horn.

Nice one - classic portrait
Interesting coloration on the horn - from chafing against tree bark I presume?

Rhinos are difficult to photograph. This is one of the better rhino images that I have seen. I like the close up look at the horn's unusual color. It's ironic that the horn, which is what makes this animal so iconic and unique, could be the very thing that seals it's fate. Sometimes I am ashamed to be a member of the human race.

Excellent portrait, Mario. I wonder if the greens are over saturated because they make me notice them. I like how the slope of the head leads to the lower left corner, the upturned horn to the upper left!
