Call of the Wild/hawk w/ prey
by Robert Bunch
A friend called and told me about a red-shouldered hawk and offfspring. Two fledglings left the nest and one was injured, trying to fly I guess. My friend took the injured bird to Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation Center to get fixed up but the other one was still hanging around as one of the adults brought food. I got this shot of the adult with, I think, a dove. I like the open beak "call of the wild" pose. Taken in a heavily wooded area east of Dallas near a park and a golf course.

The colors appear slightly over saturated on my monitor however.
Well done on the calling pose . . .
