D800 600mm F4.8 1/3000 ISO140 handheld

Cloned a branch out and had to adjust exposure post production as the shot was underexposed. This bird caught me by surprise as I was shooting some spoonbills so I have to consider it a pretty good catch. You can see from his stare that I must have irritated him in some way.

I think Ospreys are always mad, Bob. Nice job on the cloning and excellent detail in the bird with a killer wing position.

Nice capture with no time to think or prepare as you stated Bob. With that said, I do find the BG branches a bit distracting and just in an unfortunate location. The reasons I find them distracting is it appears he is flying toward a tree he just left. He may not have kept from there, but it just makes it appear that way to me. Not much you can do about it unless you want to clone a lot of branches. Still nice capture.

Really like the way you've framed this Bob. Great wing position

I agree with Kurt's comments on this one, but still a pretty great job getting what you did! Sharon
