The Jura Mountains in the western part of switzerland are a jewel especially in winter. Though this winter hasn't really been a winter so far, there were still a couple of great days and I was fortunate enough to have great conditions for some real great moods to photograph. This one was taken near Creux Du Van in the hills of Jura in western switzerland.

Love the simplicity of your composition. The foggy background emphasizes the snow covered trees. Very nice.

Nice. Uncluttered, simple, and the fog lends mood.

Beautiful, as usual, Bill. Uncluttered and artistic. Very, very nice. :toast:

Bill, with your winter images from this season, you have shared your most consistent set of images so far. While I did not comment on many, I think I did not miss one and i enjoyed them all. This one, however, blows me away. Looks like a great mix of 17th century landscape painting (feel) and impressionism (tree texture). PRINT IT BIG! :toast:

The hint of a warm glow on the trees makes this exceptional.

There is a wonderful balance in this minimalistic composotion to my eye, Biil. I also enjoy the subtle lighting and delicate details.

The minimalism works well Bill. In fact, I wish the snow was just a little deeper to increase the effect; the rough texture to the snow would be smoothed out.

I drool over shots like this. We seldom get snow here in Nashville, and when we do, we can't get out!
Nicely done.

I love the mood and atmosphere here, Bill. The fog simplifies the image to just the basics and gives us a glimpse into a winter wonderland. Excellent image!

What a neat, "white out" scene. The frosty coating on those isolated trees sure makes them seem cold and lonely. Well seen.
