Dont see too many monochrome shots here, so ill post this one.

shot just after sunrise on the mara, cropped with the uncropped version loaded as the optional larger jpeg. I know not to many people will like the raw grainy feel, this one appealed to be because it has an almost abstract feel

Nikon D700
400mm
1/250 f8 800iso

I love it Bryan, a stark portrait of a charged and powerful scene. I like the larger, uncropped version also, but prefer the cropped version because there's no road.

Hi Bryan. I like the composition of the cropped version quite a lot. The high contrast is quite bold and the action is great. The crop shows motion blur, so the details are smeared a lot lending a photo-art feel to the photo. I think you could clone-out the dark area above the rump on the left wildebeest to show the outer contour more cleanly.

Hi Gary, thats an interesting idea, it would for sure keep the viewer centered as well, The more I look at it the more I feel like getting a huge grainy enlargement made, In the right space I think it might work well.
cheers
