Crocus Frieze

We've had a few storms of late, and these crocus buds, partly sheltered among the roots of a liquid amber tree, have struggled to rise through the debris.

Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 108mm, 1/100 sec @ f8, ISO 640, hh; some blur in Color Efex.

Ian: What a lovely bunch and for me a treat to see some of the environment as well. One of the few downsides to living in the sunbelt is the lack of crocus so I especially enjoy images of them in general and this one in particular. Nicely done. >=))>

Wonderful cluster captured Ian. I like the light and shadow, and also the separation from BG.

A great patch of crocus Ian. A nice glow and a nice receding in sharpness from the DOF. Very nice.

I like the muted color here. This is a very pretty image of some very pretty flowers.

I love this image Ian! Blue, yellow and green with very different tones of light and saturations. A photo with a sense, a direction from right to left, from light to dark, from low to high saturation. Bravo!
Take care.
