Small World
by Thomas Haney
I was on a hike in the Umpqua National Forest and knelt down to tie my shoe, when I noticed this very well-hidden spider. To get a more interesting look, I used some foreground foliage to partially obstruct the scene, and moved my lens around until I found a small hole through which to frame the spider. I like the sense of scale, and how massive the mushroom looks compared to its resident.
