The darn Bluebirds seem to think so. They've been evincing interest in the nest boxes for a month now, though mostly I think they're using it for shelter at night. However there's definitely a pair of them hanging together. Here's a shot of the male from yesterday morning.

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, hand held on window sill, f9, 1/640, iso 640, Av mode with +1/3 compensation. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Cropped to 8.5MP. I removed a bunch of oof twigs from this as I thought it was plenty cluttered with the in focus ones. Taken February 26th at 10:19 am.

Your comments and criticisms are most appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Love it Dennis - great light and perch. If you're feeling naught you might think of trimming that nearest twig a tiny bit

Interesting little birds with their feather color pattern. Very nice detail in the larger image and I like the head turn with eye contact, well done.

Wonderful shot, amazing colors in the bird and a nice matching BG. The OOF branch in background is a little unfortunate - but other than that a winner ! :toast: , Hans

Great shot of this guy Dennis. I guess this is a western BB. We get the eastern BB here and they have been plentiful recently and I will probably post one soon myself. They are both beautiful birds.

Love the perch Dennis. Very nice composition, super sharp, great head turn and eye contact. If possible you might want to think about elimination or reducing the size of the small branch to the left of the bird. Just a thought. Super shot.

Very nice, Dennis. The branch on the left balances the image. Great detail in the bird. Nice capture.
