Do you see it? I actually got goose bumps when I first opened this up in Lightroom many years back (2007).

Canon 20D
Canon EF-S10-22mm at 15mm
ISO200 30sec f/8

Thanks for your comments on my previous posts and thanks for having a look at this one.

Eva, The large version of this is just wonderful. I love the light, shadow, shapes and tones in this. The textured feel of this in that larger version is fantastic.

Nice lines, texture, and tonality here, Eva. This is a striking composition, and yes, I do think I see the face. More of an observation than a critique, but I notice in the B&W it feels as if some of the sense of dimension is lost compared to some of the color slot canyon images that I have seen. What I mean by that is that there is usually a warm / cool contrast that contributes to the three-dimensional perception in the color slot canyon images that I am used to seeing. That's not to say that this is not a fine image, just something I noticed when I was studying the image. One could argue that it can actually be an asset, because it forces the viewer to think about what they are seeing - as it obviously has in my case. :wavey:

Hmmmm.....after studying this for awhile now I'm not sure I can see the face here, Eva. Regardless, the larger version and the B&W conversion is excellent. The B&W really does give this one a very different look here.

I think this is fantastic, Eva. The range of tones, the forms, and the lines all come together to make one truly amazing and engaging image. I might try and pull a bit more detail from the lit areas in the upper right hand corner, although I imagine the web-size version doesn't show the gradations that are in your actual file.
I can actually see two faces, one of a face turned slightly to 'his/her' left, and another smaller face in profile that appears reminiscent of the Sphinx. Regardless of the faces, the sculptural qualities really make this stunning.

I'll second this as the Sphinx of Antelope Canyon. Now that's cool, Eva!

Oh, I see the face and I also see a very complex and stunning b/w rendition of a beautiful place. To me it is refreshing to see this often photographed icon in a different way. It simply becomes more than a slot canyon. Very, very nice. :toast:

Wow so mysterious in B&W, makes me wonder why not more people convert. Big face watching the little one, I would love to see this printed wall size. Stunning!!
