Hi everyone! While I get the new images from Florida (I came back a few days ago) all ready, I thought I would post my favourite from last year! Some of you may have already seen it since I posted it here after my 2013 Florida trip, but we took another try at processing it, so let me know what you think!!

This male Anhinga was trying his best to please his mate with the perfect branch for their nest. He had just found a suitable one and flew off to the nest when I captured this image!

Can't wait to hear what y'all think of this one!

Thanks for lookin'! :wavey:

Excellent Jenaya. :toast: Good wing position, nice detail, good breeding color and the nesting material is the icing. Well done.

Nice flight position, setting, and colors. I suspect the focus might be on the close wing rather than the head/eye.

Hello Jenaya

Gotta love that Beautiful light! (was it early in am?) A very large bird , with an impressive wingspan , Could be a challenge to get correct DOF from wing tip to Head! Well Done.

Good exposure on the challenging feathers, from white to black. White are very well done and good detail in the darkers.

I do like how you have captured the wings position and by using the 1/1250 speed to freeze this.

(My preference)I do like to show some wing tip movement in my images , it gives more feeling to movement:) Just my preference , and others may disagree:) but I really like this capture with No nits from me!

I'm afraid I must have missed last year's post, Jenaya. A great flight pose and wonderful light with the sweet bonus of the nesting material. I agree with Richard that the focus looks like it was off, The neck in particular looks rather soft to my eye.
