I was on the way out from a night in the backcountry on the east side of Glacier when I saw this scene. It's a pretty extreme pano, but I was fully zoomed out with my 70-200mm when I took the three exposures used for the image. I suppose that's what I get for not having a 24-70 in my bag, though I do like the dimensions just fine.

(Wow…at least the 70-200 was the lighter F4… and not F2.8… or I would hire your services to carry my gear.) I like the stark beauty of this and minimalist colors. The details must be quite enjoyable and would rally my spirits to see this BIG. The dynamic range…namely a few bright spots next to dark makes the sky seem a tad too punchy. Overall, nicely done!

The larger view is sweet and I love the dead of winter feel with the stark line of trees on the slopes.

Powerful and beautiful! I think the pano format is wonderful for this scene!

What a great pano. That undulating horizontal ribbon of cloud and sky across the scene really makes this image. Very cool.

I immediately thought this was Glacier!!! I have shot the Mt on the left so many times! Great shot BTW. Dramatic.

I enjoy the larger view better. I particularly like the juxtaposition of the mountains with the "inverted mountain" clouds, if that makes sense...
