Spring Snowflake

Spring has arrived here in the Netherlands! Today the temperature reached 20 degrees, very unusual for the beginning of March. Nature doesn't bother and bursts into life. These Spring Snowflakes are beautiful flowers to photograph. I like the circles of light to accompany the flower.

Ellen: We have some of these little guys in our garden now as well. For us they are pretty late as our winter has been colder and longer than normal this year albeit relatively balmy compared to what you have to endure. Love the bokeh here and the lighting especially. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

A very nice profile comp of this bloom Ellen. I agree - the circles of light in the bokeh are excellent.

The oof highlights in the background set the stage well for the delicate flower and there's a fine warmth. I could see a modest crop from the left to move the flower off center as an alternate view.

They are indeed beautiful flowers, Ellen. I love the pale green bg and the oof highlight circles work well as a bg texture in this case.

Just delightful, Ellen ! Great use of the light circles - all very appropriate for bringing out the delicacy of the flower.

Beautiful Ellen! The uncluttered background and color complements the pose and color of the flower very well. Well taken!
