Nothing special here. Just a classic Bald Eagle portrait, but I really liked the pristine condition.

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, elbow propped on truck windowsill, f5.6, 1/1250, iso400, Av mode with +1 stop compensation. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Cropped to 12.9MP. Taken on the Tule Lake Auto tour route on February 19th at 11:05 am.

Your comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Excellent detail and exposure. The composition feels very centered and detracts from the image for me.

Wow, pristine is right. And yes, it's special! Incredible details; even "pixel-peeping" on the large image reveals lovely feather detail in the whites. You've done justice to our National symbol here.

Excellent detail! the centering of the image is a slight flaw, easily checked if you want to add a little canvas. Still, I like it as is. In a portrait like this, the subject will crowd the frame, especially if you are obligated to a stable fixed platform at 700mm! Excellent work!

Super shot. :toast: The exposure is dead on and the detail is killer.

Amazing detail. Very nice capture. I would move him up and to the right if you have the canvass. That's my only nit. Well done.

Great shot of a very handsome bird. I would take a bit off of the top and right which IMO would balance the composition better. :toast:

Lovely portrait Dennis....I like the techs but as others an finding myself wanting this framed a bit more off center. Easy fix though.
