Dropping Ben off for school this morning I spied a few undisturbed ice puddles. It was clearly early because as soon as any kids show up the puddles are quickly crunched !! I know this as I was one of those kids !!

The gently curving shapes and the cool blue tone make this a real eye catcher. Yea, I remember stomping on ice...I even did it on a frozen pond a mile from home and came real close to falling in...once!

I like the curving lines and the textures in the ice -- not to mention the blue tones. Cell phone art? I'm really impressed! This winter has been one of creativity challenge in getting photos close to home, so I appreciate your eye in noticing the potential of this image. Well done!

Really pretty. Congrats on the deserved acknowledgement.

I would have never guessed what this was. As a SE La. native, ice is as foreign to us as a moon rock. We're amazed here when the dog bowl freezes up. In fact, schools closed here for 3 days in Jan. because the temp was going to below freezing for more than 24 hours. LOL. Unlike most of the continent, I loved this winter. I've had to wear long pants no more than 30 days since Nov. I'll be whining from mid-May through mid-October though! 5 months of pure, mosquito infested hell!

Cell phone to boot. Just goes to show that the eye and creativity of the photog is so much more important than the equipment.
