Lovely scene Zack - accentuated by the alpenglow.
Placement of all the elements is nicely executed. The large image is definitely worth a look.

Zack, I sure like the late light on the distant peaks and in the snow blowing off of those peaks. The bison and the mid-ground ridge add nicely to the scene. My minor nit in the larger view is how dark the heads of the bison are, might be worth a bit of dodging.

Hi Zack,

Nice 'scape Zack - lots of layers for the eye to explore. Overall you've balanced the exposure nicely, tho' I wonder if pulling back the exposure on the distant mountains a little more might strengthen the shot? Just a thought - this is very nice as posted.

Cheers...

Well, this is awesome. The construction worker in me would use a few choice, more colorful words. I'll keep the soap on standby....I'm from SE La. Scenes like this (Rocky Mtn backcountry) are incredible to me. Catching the bison there is just a cherry. I'm trying to think of something I would do to change it. Only thing I can think of is the mountains need a little more room, more sky above them. I have no technical/rule basis for that, just what I feel when looking at it. Maybe brighten/increase exposure in the shadows just a hair.

Otherwise, the light on the peaks, the brown earth exposed in center foreground...even having 3 bison instead of 1 or 2....it's friggin killer.

Lovely scene, and the photographer also braved the brutal winds and frigid temps. The light on the mountains is exquisite.
