5D2, 17-40L, ISO 100, CPL. Went to the Gorge yesterday, its been a while. Everything went wrong. Dropped my CPL, luckily it missed the rocks and land on a bed of leafs. My tripod clamp on the camera came loose, didn't notice it, so most of the shots are out of focus due to movement, and for the grand finale, as I got back to my car I noticed a section of my tripod was missing, so I had to walk all the way back 1.5 mile to look for the lost section. Got in my car and went home. Oh, and I can't seem to get the color right on the lower left rock

Sorry to hear about your rough day, Danny. Hate when things go that way. I like the intimate comp. I kinda want to see a little more of this cascade. I agree with your assessment on the color of the foreground rock. I also find the twig on the lrc to be a bit distracting. Hope the next shoot goes better for you.

Tough day, Danny! Decent image, but, for me the large rock draws the eye so much that it takes attention away from the cascade.

Well even so, a day in the Gorge is better than not!

I agree, maybe a little wider view, or smaller dominant rock might have worked a little better. Still, I like this as is. The color contrasts, and details are very nice. Sorry to hear about the tough day.
