I captured this scene on the way home from Banff back in January. I thought the horse on the left looked like he was excitedly cheering them on while the 3 at the end appeared to be waiting at the finish line. Thoughts appreciated, thanks for looking.

Love the scene, the subject and the story. Nice tonal range in your conversion to black & white. Where are the mountains?

I like this. There's a lot going on with the starkness of the wide open space, the fence line, and the action of the horses with the snow flying. The black and white treatment adds to the impact. Well done. :toast:

Thanks for the feedback guys. Patricia, having mountains in the background would have been nice unfortunately they were way off to the right and sadly, in the opposite direction I was going.

The high contrast combined with the simplicity makes this a great shot I think.

Agree with the comments of the others, so I won't re-state. I would hang this on my wall! Lovely image all-around. :toast:

Very nice, Carey. Great contrast and action. You might consider removing, or burning down the white cloud that's just above the horizon, since it grabs my eye a bit. Other than that minor nit, this is wonderful.
