I caught this guy in a vigorous wing flapping episode. I liked the feather texture and the flying water droplets. Processed using Photoshop CS3, NeatImage and LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Jerry,
This is a great pose, but judging from the large image it may need a tad more sharpening

Great pose and perspective!
The large version is quite soft - not sure if the crop is more than the image can handle, or if it simply needs more sharpening.
Nice catch!

Showing who's the boss I guess  . Well-exposed, which is not always easy with those white bellies. Good piece of work Jerry ! Cheers, Hans

The pose is great and the flying droplets make a fine addition. I also like the textures in the water around the bird.

Sweet pose and great action, Jerry. It looks like your focus was on the breast rather than the face for this one.

Nice pose, great detail, perfect on the whites. The only things I might try for are to open the eye up just a touch and make another pass on the head with the sharpening tool. Great shot. :toast:

Like the pose in this one Jerry. I do agree with Sandy about it being a bit soft though. The inside left wing and breast look sharp. Since you were at 1/6400 no way it could be motion blur...I would have to assume your DOF wasn't sufficient at f/5. You had plenty enough SS to move to f/8 or at least f/7.1 and I think ti would have been tack sharp. Also, great job on the exposure on this!
