‘Family Group’
The wild Florida Rhesus Monkeys in the Ocala National Forest are made up of several distinct family groups that can number up to 200 individuals. The Florida Department of Natural Resources does not have an accurate head count because the Rhesus Monkeys are so illusive. Hand held from boat, Full Frame.

Mike,
I suppose it is obvious to say it is a pity you did not get all of mums legs in, but it does not detract overly from the wonderful quality. I wonder if cropping more from the bottom would be better?

I was not aware that there were wild Rhesus monkeys in Ocala. Must have been somewhat surreal to see these guys in the states. I love the mother baby aspect. My only nit is that I wish they had given you a more direct view of their faces. Very nice capture.

Hello Mike

Was not aware florida was home to these guys? Northern part of Florida too. Maybe migrate south to warmer climate eventually. Clear and crisp with excellent details, well done capture from the boat!

Bill .

I had heard that the primates down in Florida were different, here's the proof. And wow, the detail on them is very nice. I will agree with the previous comments about the composition and eye contact. Must have been marginal lighting, iso 1250 still looks good with minimal noise.

Mike, the colors and details in these two are great. I too have multiple shots where I cut off their feet, darn it,...guess I'll have to come back next year to get some more practice.
